At one poi=
nt our business breakfast had over 20 businesses in attendance at the Creek=
side Cafe in Manotick (used to be a Hard Stones). Wednesdays at 8am. =
It is smaller in size now, many businesses have left and it’s hard to=
say who might return. Once you get below a certain group size, it’s =
difficult to keep the momentum going and sell the group to potential new me=
mbers. However I have contacts for many of them.

The challenge in Manotick will be finding meeting=
space – restaurants are limited in size. Another group meets in Rive=
rside South just 5 mins north of Manotick. There is a Broadway’s ther=
e but they already host a group on Thursdays (they are much bigger than the=
Manotick club).

It wouldn’t =
be difficult to get 18 businesses interested in at least checking out PBEX,=
especially if you promote an event though social media etc. A lot o=
f businesses that left I think would be looking at that value angle. =
And also that they like and can genuinely support the other businesses at t=
hat table.

y more interest in a Manotick chapter, I hope you’ll let me know. I’m=
still interested to visit a current PBEX chapter in the new year.
