Business Activity Meeting Policy
Definition: Business Activity Meeting (BAM) is a one-on-one meeting.
During this meeting you will have the opportunity to look deeper into the inner workings of another member’s business and learn more about them. You will get to know the member in a more personal setting especially if it is a home-based business or over coffee.
The focus of a BAM is not to sell anything but to understand how you can help by sending the right referrals and introductions to the member. When the member comes to visit your office or home-based business they will do the same.
You know your business but knowing the business of other Phoenix members is the key to making strong referrals. Being able to make strong referrals will in turn bring more referrals back into your business.
Phoenix Business Exchange Inc. supports mutually beneficial business relationships and does not allow hard and pushy sales tactics, especially not during BAMs. Any member who disregards this policy and engages in such selling tactics during BAMs will be required to attend a one-hour coaching session with the Phoenix Founders Tony Gyenis and Susanne Shields. Failure to adapt behavior to Phoenix’s BAM policy is ground for cancellation of membership.
Rules
To make BAMs organized and most efficient Phoenix created a BAM Worksheet. We expect you to use the worksheet at every BAM you’re having with a fellow Phoenix member, making it your BAM guideline.
This worksheet is to be filled out during or before a BAM and used as future reference. This will become an invaluable resource to you, as it will contain all information of each business you have met with and serve as a memory jogger.
